"Exile on Main Street", the Rolling Stones
(New edition 2 CD Universal)

The double album of the Stones "Exile on Main Street", released in 1972, mark the apogee of the English group and of a kind: rock and roll. That is, if its reissue on CD, "remastered", is an event. The surprise of the head is that eighteen songs original (CD 1) plus 10 unreleased recorded at the same time (CD2): two alternative versions somewhat "rough" "Lovin' Cup" and "Soul survivor" eight songs "new" rock-blues rather interesting. It is so learned mixture impros and sophisticated arrangements (piano-brass). The riffs of Keith Richards and Mick Taylor solo drunk, the Witch of Mick Jagger voice Burns neurons, while Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman hammer infernal Sabbath. An essential rock orgy, that collectors will be able to afford in super version luxury: box lined with (2 CD, 2 LP albums, a DVD, a 50-page booklet) for more than 100 euros.
"This is Happening", from LCD Soundsystem
(1 CD DFA/EMI)
The New York group the more "hype" of the past five years is about to take his reverence in beauty. LCD Soundsystem released a third and final album of électro-rock, "this is hapenning", both explosive and subtle, which summarizes his career. Founded by a former of sound, James Murphy, LCD has found the correct sound, mixing the savagery of the rock and the smoothness of the dance music. A cheeky 'mix' between David Bowie (period "heroes"), Kraftwerk and the White Stripes. What is the compelling rhythmic, the orchestrations to the cord, the heartbreaking voice of Murphy, the sober evidence of melodies as the "Drunk Girls", néo-punk devastating anthem; and the lyricism of harmonies (superb "All I Want"). Great art "modern".

"Have One on Me", from Joanna Newsom
(3 CD Drag City/PIAS)
In concert in Sonic Villette in Paris, May 31.
American pop country "mainstream", between Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas, there is still a (low) place for such unclassifiable artists as Joanna Newsom. Pianist, vocalist, songwriter, Lady annoys as she seduces with a voice that is not without sometimes remind one of Kate Bush and Tori Amos. "Have One on Me", this recent triple album, is in the line of folkeuses lit. Why not: pieces long, of the effects of style, but mostly a universe apart, as an enchanted forest that it runs through sleepwalker. The girl discovered in 2004 grew up: "autumn" or "Soft as chalk" are strange and penetrating, ballads served by an elegant production. Joanna Newon plays with grace this late spring swallows.

"I Feel so Good", of Virginia Teychené
(1 CD Altrisuoni)
It was only a second disk. But he touch the tops of the vocal jazz. Found in "I Feel so Good", of Virginia Teychené, which had seduced in "Portraits", his first album: sensual and a nothing veiled medium-grave voice that adventure without concern in the acute - almost as "ductile" than those of African-American singers. Virginia Teychené has, in addition, an innate sense of swing and it "scatte" with great ease. She expressed here on standards ("Moonlight Serenade", "I Got The Blues", "prelude to a kiss"...) but also compositions of Gérard good invoice Maurin bassist ("Worry ' bout me"...). It is not the two Brazilian titles lasse that she sang as one of the major there ("Você e eu", "Luiza/Estágios"). The Swiss label Altrisuoni had the flair to save it. Hope that the programmers of the hexagonal scenes will listen this rare disc. So Virginia Teychené is more the less known major jazz singers.
Sonatas for piano of Manuel Blasco de Nebra Javier Perianes (piano)
(1 CD Harmonia Mundi)
The "Adagio" that opens the disc evokes the Lunar fantasy of a Scarlatti. The Crackle of the following movement come alive for conquering virtuosity. "Blasca de Nebra is the heir of Domenico Scarlatti and all that the baroque has best" confirms the text of presentation. The Sevilla, born in 1750 and died at the age of thirty-four has indeed learned from his elder Italian, active Spain, spontaneity, imagination, digital fun. But this contemporary of Mozart is also known to evolve into a more classic and more galant language. Unfortunately only about thirty œuvres of a corpus that numbered 172 remains. Javier Perianes retained eight, six Sonatas and two "pastorelas", to fully understand the immense talent of this forgotten master. Its Spanish young has all the qualities for the musings of the fascination is where the Sun known to Eclipse.
